This conference marks the conclusion of the AMIAF research program, which explored the double discrimination faced by individuals considered mentally ill and indigenous in French Africa. Funded by the ANR, this multidisciplinary project analyzed the legal and administrative treatment of mental illness during the colonial period.
During these days, the most significant findings of this research will be presented and discussed. This will also provide an opportunity to outline new avenues and perspectives in a rapidly evolving field. The conference will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas and deepening our understanding of the issues related to mental health and colonization.
