Dear Hmadness readers,
We are pleased to share a new Call for Papers for the 57th Annual Conference of the Deutschsprachige Gesellschaft für Kunst und Psychopathologie des Ausdrucks (DGPA), entitled Perspectives – Perception in Art and Psychiatry.
The conference will take place from 22 to 24 October 2026 at the Psychiatriemuseum Bern (Switzerland), a major site for the history of psychiatry and outsider art, originally founded around works by Adolf Wölfli and other psychiatric patients. This year’s theme explores the notion of “perspective” at the intersection of art, psychology, psychiatry, perception, and subjectivity.
The organizers welcome proposals for 30-minute presentations related to the conference theme. Abstracts should be submitted by 31 May 2026 to: daniel.sollberger@pbl.ch
All practical information, including the full conference description and submission details, can be found in the downloadable PDF at the bottom of this announcement.
