Ce numéro spécial a pour objectif d’interroger la notion de « traumatisme de guerre » au regard des expériences de combattant.e.s africain.e.s au XX^e et au XXI^e siècles affecté.e.s par les violences auxquelles ils.elles ont pris part activement, au point qu’un retour à la vie d’avant les combats est devenu impossible.

The aim of this special issue is to examine the notion of ‘war trauma’ in the light of the experiences of 20th- and 21st-century African combatants affected by violence in which they played an active part—to the point where a return to life before the fighting has become impossible.

La date limite pour l’envoi des résumés (500 mots maximum), rédigés en anglais ou en français, est fixée au 10 juin 2025 à minuit (GMT+1). Les propositions sont à envoyer à cahierscfp@gmail.com. Les auteur.rice.s seront informé.e.s de la sélection des propositions retenues le 30 juin 2025 et la date limite de réception des premières versions des articles est fixée au 15 novembre 2025.

The deadline for submitting abstracts (maximum 500 words) written in English or French is set for June 10, 2025, at midnight (GMT+1). Proposals should be sent to cahierscfp@gmail.com. Authors will be notified if their proposals have been selected on June 30, 2025, and the deadline for submitting first versions of article is set for November 15, 2025.
