Please join us on Oct. 2, 1:15-2:45pm EST, for the Psychiatry and the Arts interview series on the imagination. The Director of the DeWitt Wallace Institute of Psychiatry, Dr. George J. Makari, will be joined by Damion Searls, Ph.D., the acclaimed translator and writer, for a conversation on “Translation and the Imagination.” His translations – from German, Norwegian, French, and Dutch – include Nobel Prize winners Thomas Mann and Jon Fosse, as well as Proust, Rilke, Nietzsche, Christa Wolf, and Victoria Kielland. He is the author of The Inkblots and The Philosophy of Translation.
