Inside the Battle to Define Mental Illness (Wired Magazine)

Wired magazine has an interesting piece written by Gary Greenberg (author of Manufacturing Depression: The Secret History of a Modern Disease) about the on-going debates within the psychiatric community over the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-5. Greenberg focuses on the criticisms of and responses to Allen Francis and how the debate today relates to earlier controversies about the role of diagnosis in psychiatry.
